With the provocative question ‘can a candle hang by its wick?’ designer Paulien Berendsen started searching for a unique, sustainable and inspiring design.
Together with Dutch companies she developed an innovative wick that never burns out and a special wax for the candles.
Every part of a Wanderlight, such as the hanging tools and the ceramic discs, is made with love and attention in collaboration with local companies.
- The candle holder is turned from solid oak and treated with a protective oil. Please note that when the candle has almost burned down to the wooden dish, you should remove the candle and any candle residue!
- With a Wanderlight the wick runs above the flame. Soot adheres to this, which has the advantage that it does not become airborne.
Maintenance
It is advisable to regularly remove soot from the wick and trim the edges to extend the burning time.
